6-7 Nights Amankora Poppy Treks Retreat

overview

Amankora's Poppy Trek retreats are an unforgettable, unique experience for the adventurous soul. Witness the beautiful floral display, high in the elevations of 3,000-4,500 metres above sea level — situated in one of the world's most inaccessible, remote locations. This seasonal display — which can be seen between 1 June - 15 July) offers guests the chance to see Bhutan's white, pink and red poppies in full bloom. The programme includes a trek between two of the resort's lodges, with two nights each at Thimphu and Paro, before embarking on the camping accommodation (two nights with Red Poppy trek, three nights with White & Pink Poppy Trek).

Retreat runs from 1 June TO 15 July 2020

The price shown is for the 6-night retreat — please contact our team regarding the 7-night stay. Dates Available: White & Pink Poppy Trek: 1 June to 15 July 2020 | Red Poppy Trek: 15 June to 15 July 2020

location

Paro, Thimphu Punakha, Gangtey Bumthang, Kingdom of Bhutan

Amankora's five lodges are located across the country at key scenic and cultural points: Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey and Bumthang. The Paro Lodge is a short drive from Paro International Airport (PBH). There are a limited number of flights in and out, and only two airlines—Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines—service the airport.

Operating a tourism policy of "high-value, low-impact", Bhutan limits the number of tourists entering the country with a minimum spend fee, which is covered by staying at Amankora.
