Accommodation

Catering to singles, couples and travelling friends who want to share a room, Samahita’s accommodation has a contemporary style and urban feel. Clean lines, a neutral colour palette and private balconies are the signatures of every room. Accommodation includes the usual modern fittings such as wifi.

Since the retreat prioritises eco-friendly buildings, Samahita uses cross ventilation, natural lighting, rainwater harvesting, and solar power.  Loft-style accommodations are suitable for families. However, it’s important to note that all reservations at Samahita are booked  ‘per person’, not ‘per room’.

Food Programme

Based on ‘Sattva’, a Sanskrit term that means ‘purity, harmony and balance’, the food at Samahita is wholesome, nourishing and tasty. Incorporating fresh ingredients that are easy to digest, the kitchen serves up vegetarian, raw and traditional Thai delicacies. Additionally, a range of vegan-friendly protein options, including bean and lentil dishes, are available. Due to their farm-to-table concept, many of the herbs, fruits and vegetables used are grown on the retreat’s organic farm, while the yoghurt, kefir, soy milk, coconut milk, are all homemade on-site along with many of the pastes and sauces, which are made from scratch.

Ayurvedic taste experiences are on offer in addition to a variety of healthy dishes packed with vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. These are either served as complex carbohydrates, essential fatty acids or premium proteins.

Samahita has its own water purification system and provides guests with high-quality drinking mineral water, so bring a refillable bottle because they don’t sell bottled water at the retreat.

Treatment Programme

Deriving inspiration from its Sanskrit name, which translates to ‘centered’, Samahita leads yoga-lovers towards a balanced lifestyle. The yoga programme features a variety of dynamic retreats, workshops and Yoga Alliance Registered training. Led by a host of resident masters and renowned visiting practitioners, retreats explore all aspects of the yoga practice. This includes classical philosophy, pranayama (breath), asana (body postures), vinyasa (breath and movement) and meditation. Samahita also runs a variety of fitness and detox retreats, such as ‘Weight Loss’ and ‘De-Stress’ packages. Additionally, they offer an eclectic range of ‘Body and Soul Therapies’ in its dedicated Wellness Centre.

Most noteworthy is the ‘Yoga Core Cycle’ programme, an integrated functional fitness package that combines cardio (dynamic cycle classes) and specific strength training (incorporating TRX, Bosus, stability balls and Uggis), alongside yoga poses, breathing work and meditation practices.
